Being Bold. The Downsides.

A very intermittent, stream-of consciousness behind the scenes look at my life, plus whinging.

Be Brevity-er

August 7th, 2019 Update:

Positive stuff: Applied for two (non-GH) jobs, so getting into the swing of that. Posted a picture on twitter of “Spinelli” beer, which Steve Burton liked, and am now followed by Kathleen Gati, who (via twitter) seems completely lovely, so both those things made me feel cheerful and forward moving. I should probably be less political, but if anyone got to know me on twitter as unpolitical and then met me in person, the surprise would be fairly intense. Wrote a couple funny additions to Parents are People, of which a couple friends/family recently asked to see, so that’s also flattering.

Whinging: Twitter is sort of oppressive. Not in a literal regime way, but in a like, how can I be funnier, better, brevity-er, connected-ier, so on and so forth. And then Instagram. Facebook. This website. Make the show- which, I put together a basic version of it, and it’s awful. So need to be funnier and better there too. And learn to work with iMovie, because my very expensive Final Cut Express, which I blew an enormous amount of time transferring to the new computer, doesn’t work with the new computer, and apple helpfully suggested I might like to zip on over to the app store and drop $300 on a new version. How about no, I’d like the version I already spend $300 on to work? And the old computer is like computing with molasses, so for now, iMovie. Which is a shame because so far it seems clunky and awful.

Goals: Continue to build social profile/standing. Get a good template for Parents are People (The Show). Learn to work with iMovie (HELLLLLOOOOO youtube tutorials), don’t get discouraged, work hard, be bold, tell everyone.
